Dark Stories, Shared Light: A Women’s Month Panel Discussion

Thursday, March 10th

We had originally decided not to publish this video due to the sensitive nature of the stories. However, after several requests from the community we decided instead to publish it so that these stories could see the light of day, empower others who may find themselves in a similar situation, and offer support for those who may think that they are alone when they are truly not.

In this DPM Special Event we brought forward true stories that we have, as women, kept close and perhaps not shared beyond a small circle. We wanted to bring those dark stories into the light and give them air, show resilience, and offer guidance and dialogue.

Our panelists each submitted a story they wished to share anonymously. Their story was then read by another panelist and discussed during our session.

Hearing our stories told in another voice helps to reset the power that the story might hold.

We will continue to collect stories throughout the month of March. Do you have a story that you would like to share? Anonymously share here
