  • Project Briefing: Provide an overview of the project and cover project details, purpose, goals, and the business problem that the project is intended to solve.
  • Success: Align on what project success means and success measurements, key KPIs and metrics, and any other relevant success indicators.
  • Project Management: Cover the project plan, scope, timeline and due dates, milestones, methodology and workflow, phases, specific tasks and deliverables, risks and dependencies, reporting, what project management software and team communication software (e.g. Slack) you'll use, and any other relevant details.

  • Next Steps: Discuss next steps and action items for the client team, the project team, and other project stakeholders, as well as ensure clarity.

Why Do I Need A Project Kickoff Meeting Agenda?

You need a project kickoff meeting agenda because it provides a roadmap for your project kickoff meeting, helps keep the meeting on track, and lets you finish on time.

Without an agenda, you run the risk of not getting to everything that needs to be discussed or spending too much time on unnecessary or already covered details.
