Are PMs Useless? How Might We Dispel Negative Preconceptions

I’ve been thinking: why is our role so misunderstood, and what is the most effective way to defend against some of these preconceptions of what DPMs in particular do?

But also, which criticisms are valid? And is there more we can do to make it more obvious what value we’re bringing to the table for our teams?

If this is a topic that you’ve been thinking about and want to dig into, then this special Ask Me Anything session is for you. We opened up the discussion to all attendees to share, debate, and introspect about how our role is perceived by our team members.

It was 1 part feeling completely insulted by some of the allegations, 1 part commiserating with your peers, and 2 parts healthy and constructive discussion that will help you engage with your teams more effectively.
