JoAnn Stonier is a globally recognized data and AI strategist and a Mastercard Fellow of Data & Artificial Intelligence, where she provides thought leadership and strategic guidance on data innovation, governance, and responsible AI. Previously Mastercard’s first Chief Data Officer and Chief Privacy Officer, she helped build and oversee the company’s enterprise-wide data strategy while balancing innovation with privacy, ethics, and regulatory compliance. With earlier leadership roles at American Express, PepsiCo, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, JoAnn brings deep expertise across finance, law, and technology, and is also an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute and a frequent speaker on the responsible use of data and AI.
